Metro Realty had a strong reputation built over fifteen years, but its brand identity and digital presence hadn't kept pace with newer, design-forward competitors entering the market. Leadership worried the brand now read as dated next to agencies with a fraction of Metro Realty's track record — and the numbers backed up the concern.

The Challenge

The existing listings site converted visitors at under 1%, well below the category benchmark. User testing revealed the core issue: buyers couldn't easily save searches, get a fast valuation estimate, or filter listings by the criteria that actually mattered to them. The visual identity — an early-2010s logo, an inconsistent color palette, and stock photography — reinforced the impression of an agency standing still while the market moved.

The Solution

We ran a full brand refresh in parallel with a platform rebuild, treating the two as one connected project rather than sequential phases.

  • Identity system — new wordmark, a refined navy-and-gold palette, and a photography direction built around real Metro Realty listings instead of stock imagery.
  • Listings platform — rebuilt around saved searches, instant valuation estimates using recent comparable sales, and map-based filtering that let buyers narrow results by commute time, school district and price trajectory.
  • Launch campaign — the rebrand launch was paired with a targeted Google Ads campaign built around the new value proposition, ensuring the market encountered the new identity everywhere at once rather than in a slow rollout.

Every touchpoint — email signatures, yard signs, the mobile app, the listings site — was updated on the same launch date to avoid the mixed-messaging period that undermines most rebrands.

The Results

Revenue grew 267% year-on-year following the relaunch, with the paired Google Ads campaign delivering a 6.2x return on ad spend. Listing enquiries rose 41%, and — perhaps the clearest signal of the brand refresh succeeding — Metro Realty began winning new listing pitches against the exact competitors that had prompted the original conversation.

"They repositioned us as the premium option in our market — the new brand paid for itself in the first quarter."
